Carte Blanche

Exhibition stand for greetings card company-NEC Spring Fair 1996. Stand design based on a particular range of cards which featured wobbly single line drawings. All stand walls, furniture etc. was built deliberately distorted and was painted to resemble that shown in the cards. Set pieces included large 3-D models of some of the characters in the cards-for example, a fat black and white dog sitting on a sofa, sleepily watching television. A continuous loop tape of snoring was played via a speaker mounted in the sofa which was in sync with a motor inside the dog making his chest rise and fall.
